Description
English: An everyday picture of the DDR, shortly before the end. Moskvich estate, Trabant and Gotha double-ended single car tram. The Naumburg Ringbahn was the smallest tram network in the DDR and at this time, operated clockwise. Called Die Wilde Zicke, the system was closed shortly after re-unification in 1991 but has recently been reopened by enthusiasts as a tourist tram. The concern opened in 1892 as a steam tram and electrification followed in 1907, one hundred years before the reopening.
