Title
The Representation of His Majesty’s Ship Mediator of 44 Guns Commanded by the Honourable CAPT.N James LUTTRELL. Having taken & secured the Alexander renews the Action with the Flute Menagere, about 10 at Night on the 12th of December 1782, off Ferrol which after a spirited Conflict strikes her Colours. and in the Offing are seen the Dauphin Royal and Amiable American Armed Brig disabled.
Description
English: A view of the British frigate Mediator attacking the Flute Menagere. American War of Independence (1775-83). The enemy ships are listed as the French ships Menagere, L'Eugene, Dauphin Royal, and American ships Alexander and A Brig.

Parker describes this set of prints as comprising four plates. Although the dummy sheet is annotated to the effect that the fourth plate is missing, the evidence of the George III catalogue entry, and the original entry on the dummy sheet itself, indicates that only three were ever present in the collection. The other two plates are at RCINs 734095.a and b.
