Description
English: Nave of Salisbury Cathedral, with Sibirica Minor II in foreground.
  • This is taken from about a third of the way along the Nave, in line with the North Porch. The water feature in the foreground is Sibirica Minor II by William Pye. It was installed for Easter 2005 and was due to be removed after Pentecost 2006. "Locating a font near the entrance reminds us of our journey through life, of pilgrimage and discipleship. Although not designed as a font, Sibirica Minor II works well as such." says a nearby notice.
  • The blue stained glass window at the vanishing point of this photo is the Prisoners of Conscience window installed in 1980.
(Unusually for a church interior, I was able to capture the whole of this in one exposure with only very small blown highlights)
