Description
English: The ENC Band concerts were organised from 09 to 12 November 2022 at Kolkata by INS Netaji Subhas at Lascar War Memorial, City Centre Mall, Salt Lake, Naval Aircraft Museum, New Town and Tollygunge Club as part of Navy Day 2022 Celebration. Mr Firhad Hakim, Hon'ble Minister UD and MA, Govt of West Bengal and Mayor of Kolkata were the Chief Guest at concert at Naval Aircraft Museum. Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta, CINC ENC was Chief Guest at Tollygunge Club. The Band performances covered a diverse audience in different parts of the city. The events were attended by school students, NCC Cadets, Defence Civilian employees, medical professionals from Command Hospital (EC Army), Veterans, serving members of Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Coast Guard and Families, few members of the State Cabinet, State Government officials, a wide spectrum of other local citizenry besides members of Naval Community. A few Consul Generals and Consulate Staff also attended the events. The band performed a vide repertoire of music, such as classical, folk and contemporary, enthralling wide spectrum of audiences at four different locations. The Navy Band was lead by Commander Manoj Sebastian, an accomplished Musician and composer.
