English: Portrait photo from 1935 of Paul (Paulinus) Dickopf (1910 – 1973), Nazi party member, later SS police officer, Interpol president and CIA asset, as a private soldier in the Wehrmacht Heer, the army of Nazi Germany, wearing an early version of the army service uniform:
  • Military tunic (Waffenrock of Feldbluse)
    • Pleated patch pockets with scalloped flaps
    • Shoulder straps (Schulterklappen)
    • Double braid insignia (Litzen) on collar tabs (Kragenspiegel) on standing, closed fall-down collar
    • "Breast eagle" (military style Reichsadler of the Third Reich, "eagle-and-swastika badge emblem cloth patch over right chest pocket)
    • Buttoned front closure
  • Peaked visor cap (Schirmmütze with plate shaped crown (not saddle style) and insignia (Abzeichen):
    • Eagle-and-swastika emblem adopted as national and military coat of arms from the Nazi Party emblem based on the German Reichsadler imperial eagle: called Hoheitszeichen ('national emblem'), Mützenadler ('cap eagle'), Wehrmachtsadler ('eagle of the armed forces') or Heeresadler ('army eagle')
    • National tri-color cockade with red felt in oak leaf wreath (Mützen-Eichenlaub, Eichenlaubkranz mit roter Filz Kokarde, Mützenkranz, WH-Kokarde)
