| Description |
English: Nearing the Rath at Cavanacaw. I was left with the choice of un-ravelling the cord or climbing over the gate; I chose the latter as my hands had started to turn blue despite having gloves on. Years ago country folk were more superstitious and they would have been cautious to even enter such areas as they believed that the fairies had a connection with the circular area. Hill-forts and raths survived mostly to that fact. |
