Kommentar: Die Türen des Tempels des Ianus Geminus wurden traditionell nur dann geschlossen, wenn überall im römischen Reich Frieden herrschte. Kaiser Nero befahl dies mit großem Zeremoniell im Jahre 65 n. Chr. Vgl. Sueton, Nero 13, der dieses Ereignis aber in das Jahr 66 n. Chr. verlegt und mit dem dem Rombesuch des Tiridates bringt. Der genaue Standort dieses kleinen Tempels ist nicht bekannt, wahrscheinlich lag er im Bereich des Argiletum beim Forum Romanum und nahe bei der Basilica Aemilia.
