Summary

edit
Description Don Clever and Jim Dickerson (pictured) place eight "Boats Keep Out" buoys around a new eagle nest tree at Longview Lake in Missouri on March 14, 2014. The nest was located in a dead tree that was unundated when the lake was impounded. The trunk of the tree is almost located on dry land due to the low water levels at Longview Lake. A bald eagle was observed in incubation posture on the nest. The two also observed a second eagle switch incubation responsibilities with the first eagle, with the incoming eagle using its beak to roll the eggs before settling down over them.
