Summary
editDescriptionNeuchâtel 1902-built tram 46 on the Cortaillod branch, 1970s.jpg |
English: Neuchâtel tram 46 operating on line 5's former Cortaillod branch, which closed in 1984. Car 46 was one of seven double-ended (bi-directional), double-truck trams built for the Neuchâtel tram system in 1902 by SWS, numbered 41–47. When operating on the system's main line, Neuchâtel–Boudry, they commonly operated in two-car sets (and at peak periods sometimes three-car sets with a trailer in the middle), but when working the shuttle service between Areuse and Cortaillod, they ran as single (or "solo") cars. The last active units were retired in 1981.
