Description

The famous Bastei rocks near Rathen in Germany carry the ruins of a medieval castle. Only a few carved out rooms and the cistern remain of what was once the largest rock castle in the region. Parts of the castle now serve as an open-air museum.

The image was taken very early when the morning mists were still lingering over the countryside.
