Description
English: View east through the station footbridge towards the southbound (up) Platform 1 at the newly completed Horden railway station seen on its opening day, 29/06/2020. The station is viewed from the lower part of the stairs up to the footbridge (mid-ground) through which can be seen Platform 1 and, beyond, allotments and the North Sea (background). The new Horden station is on the Durham Coast Line and replaces an earlier station (approximately 180m further south) which existed between 1 April 1905 and 4 May 1964; it was closed as part of the Beeching cuts.
