Description Soldiers from Company G 2nd Battalion, 308th Infantry Regiment of the 77th Division practice attack an enemy trench line during training with the British Army on May 8, 1918 in this still from the silent film "Training with the British Army in Picardy, May 1918" found on the National Archives website. The 77th Division, whose Soldiers were draftees from New York City, was one of five American Army divisions to train with the British Army during World War I.
