Description
English: The cable to the earphone kept on breaking so I decided to replace it. The original was insulated wire inside a cotton (?) covering. To reproduce this, I took a pair of shoe laces, cut the ends off and pulled out the central core. Then I threaded wire through the resulting tube. The easiest way to do the last stage is to pass stiff wire down the tube, then solder the flexible wire to it and push the tube back over the flexible wire. Do not try to pull it, it acts like one of those 'finger traps]'.
