The way he held absolutesway over his Ministers, and ruled the Colony, was somethingvery remarkable. Later in life he became Governor of Victoria,and his success was very striking. The news has recently come to us that Earl Greys term ofoffice, as Governor-General of Canada, is to be continued forthe full MX years. The universal joy throughout the Dominionon the receipt of this news must be very gratifying to his Lordship.
