English: Newport Courtybella railway station (site), Gwent Opened in 1850 by the Monmouthshire Railway and Canal Company, later part of the Great Western Railway, as the terminus of its Western Valleys lines from Ebbw Vale and Blaina, this short-lived station closed in 1852 when it was replaced by Newport Dock Street station. View west towards Bassaleg Junction and Ebbw Vale, Blaina etc. The line from Newport Mill Street station used to join here from the right at roughly the point where the track disappears round the bend. |
