Remember that the people want to read on their level and not on thelibrarians level; that has to be considered if you want your collectionto be ALIVE. There are no recipes you can apply, only KNOW YOURCOMMUNITY and work with the individuals in it. Your success in thiswill be reflected in the success of your operation. It is a very interestingand challenging work to do. As a Latin American, I can easily under-stand the problem that another Latin American can face in front of aninstitution called Library or Biblioteca, which has not had a mean-ing in his youth. In Latin America, one seldom goes to a library untilone gets to the university, and only a small percentage are that fortu-nate.
