English: Nice bush, pet, I said She agreed with me and then we argued about what it was.
Azaleas to thee and me are flowering shrubs making up part of the genus Rhododendron and I think this is a Rhododendron calendulaceum Rhododendron_calendulaceum or Rhododendron molle http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rhododendron_molle_subsp_japonicum1.jpg or an orange Rhododendron luteum Rhododendron_luteum as this is another of the same family with the heavy scent. There are over 28,000 hybrid Rhododendrons and 10,000 hybrid Azaleas. I'm not trawling that far for a suitable answer. Safe to say the variety will be on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentanthera_(section)#Subsection_Pentanthera_.2814_species.29 One for the experts, I think. For those who know... answers on a postcard please and I'll change the title and description. |
