This tablet records the addition of the Treble Bell to the belfry of this church.

Born 29 May 1904 at Bucklow, Chesire, England to Major, Eric and Janet Boyd Crossley. 1911 with married mother and siblings at Sunrising House, Edgehill, Banbury
Husband of Marjorie May Crossley, nee Winterbottom of Tortington, Sussex.
On the 21st November 1939 the ship was in the channel to Harwich Harbour. At about 21: 23 hrs she hit a mine laid by German the blast lifted her up out of the water and she broke in half. The ship drifted before she was grounded.
He was seriously wounded and died 27 November 1939 aged 35.
At rest in St Mary Churchyard, Shotley, Suffolk.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry. Nigel John Crossley of Wideacre Prinsted near Emsworth died 27 November 1939 at Shotley Suffolk, Lancashire. His effects went to his widow.
