"05/02/06 - A U.S. Army Soldier from 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry, 3rd Infantry Combat Brigade Team, 25th Infantry Division lays down surpressive fire during a raid in Al Jaff, a mock city at the National Training Center (NTC) on Fort Irwin, Calif., May 2, 2006. The 25th ID was at NTC to hone and improve their war fighting skills for future deployments." This is not a night vision device. It is known in the US military as an M145 or civilian name SpecterOS3.4x. It was developed as part of Advanced Combat Rifle program of the 80's. If you look in the picture, it seems as if he's not even looking into the device itself. Look it up, it's on Wikipedia. |
