| Description |
Seen at Rocky Mountain National Park, near the Estes Park entrance. Estes Park has a reputation as a lesbian haven. And the driver of this Nissan XTerra, based on the bumper stickers, is proudly showing her lesbian, feminist bent. I wholeheartedly approve. The State of Colorado is well known for evangelical Christian organizations in Colorado Springs. In fact, they had even made LGBTs ineligible for legal protections by a voter initiative, Amendment 2, in 1996. However, Amendment 2 was eventually thrown out via the court system, and in more recent times, the more tolerant atmosphere of Denver, Boulder (University of Colorado), and of course Estes Park have been taking over. |
