(A)_Imagen de la pared epicárdica de la auricula derecha.
Se muestra el contorno del Nodo Seno-Auricular (NSA)construído a partir de secciones teñidas immunohistoquímicamente, proyectadas sobre la superficie de un corazón de conejo.
Pueden verse la zona interna o Nodal (en rojo) y la zona Perinodal que la circunda (en azul). El nodo está lejos de ser una estructura redondeada y bien delimitada, como se dibuja esquemáticamente en los libros de texto.
Se observa también la arteria del nodo en su disposición habitual (en violeta).

AD aurícula derecha, VCS vena cava superior, VCI vena cava inferior, AO aorta.
