Deutsch:

The club "Loft", Nollendorfplatz 5, Berlin-Schoeneberg was one of the most important venues for new and groundbreaking music in West Berlin/Berlin from 1983 to 1998. The loft owes this reputation in large part to Monika Döring, who managed the club from 1983 to 1987. Names like Jesus Jones, Primal Scream, The Lounge Lizards, Violent Femmes, The Fall, Anne Clark, Adamski, Die Toten Hosen, Einstürzende Neubauten, and many more performed during Loft’s time at Nollendorfplatz, and made this area of West Berlin the worldwide hotspot of rock, pop, punk, post-punk, new wave and independent music.
