Deutsch: U-Bahnstation Nollendorfplatz nachts von der Ecke Motzstraße gesehen, Berlin-Schöneberg. Tor zum traditionellen LGBT-/Regenbogenkiez. Die regenbogen-farbene Beleuchtung des Künstschaffenden Moritz Wermelskirch erstrahlt seit 2013 mit kurzen Unterbrechungen an deren neuen Kuppelkonstruktion (Architekt*innen: Ralf Schüler und Ursulina Schüler-Witte, 2002). Die Beleuchtung war ursprüngliche als befristete Installation geplant, wird aber immer wieder verlängert. Sie wird von der Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), der LSBT-Organisation Maneo, und einem Zusammenschluss lokaler Gewerbetreibende, unter der Schirmherr*innenschaft des Bezirk Schöneberg unterstützt.
English: U-Bahn (metro) station Nollendorfplatz by night seen from the corner of Motzstraße, Berlin-Schöneberg. The Gate to the traditional LGBT / Rainbow neighborhood. Since 2013, with short intermissions, the rainbow colored lighting by the artist Moritz Wermelskirch has adorned its new dome (Architects: Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Schüler-Witte, 2002). The lighting was originally conceived as a temporary installation, but has repeatedly been prolonged. The art installation is supported by the Berlin Transport Company (BVG), the LGBT organization Maneo, and a local business initiative under the patronage of the Berlin borough of Schöneberg. |
