The farmer that sold the Nomoli stated that the same was found by him, in his terrains, near a stream in Duabu Village, after Kenema and Talia, on the Eastern part of the Republic of Sierra Leone. Also stated that on that village they were being used as a symbol during initiation ceremonies of women into society. No references were given regarding the use of this particular Nomoli as a protector of rice crops or others by this farmer.
