Description
English: North Philadelphia Station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as seen from the northwest in 1977.
The picture shows the old station house and the platforms serving the Northeast Corridor in front of it. Glenwood Avenue is paralleling the NOK tracks right behind. Broad Street runs diagonally behind with the Broad Street Subway below it serving North Philadelphia station.
The North Broad Station which was once erected by the Reading is across Broad Street beyond the building with the great bare wall; its tracks can be seen on the very right.
In the foreground there is the station's parking lot and the entrance to the underpass. The little entrance right from it was once used as a staff's underpass. The platforms serving SEPTA's Chestnut Hill West Line are beyond the lower right corner outside of the picture.

Auf dem Foto sind das alte Empfangsgebäude und davor die Bahnsteige am Nordost-Korridor zu erkennen. Dahinter verläuft parallel zu den Gleisen die Glenwood Avenue. Schräg von links vorn nach rechts hinten verläuft die Broad Street, worunter sich die U-Bahn-Station North Philadelphia der Broad Street Subway befindet.
Die Station North Broad, die zum Streckennetz der Reading gehörte, befindet sich jenseits der Broad Street hinterhalb des Gebäudes mit der großen kahlen Wand; die zugehörigen Gleise sind ganz am rechten Rand kurz zu sehen.
Ganz im Vordergrund ist der Pendlerparkplatz und der Eingang zur Unterführung zu erkennen. Der kleinere Einlass weiter rechts im Bild gehört zur einstigen Dienstboten-Unterführung. Die Bahnsteige an der Strecke nach Chestnut Hill West liegen rechts unten außerhalb des Bildes.
