Summary
editDescriptionNorth entrance to Alexandra Palace, and former station building (geograph 5279308).jpg |
English: North entrance to Alexandra Palace, and former station building The railway line from Highgate up to Alexandra Palace was built by the Great Northern Railway; it closed to passenger traffic in 1954, but were it not for the intervention of World War II would have become part of the London Underground's Northern Line, as part of its 1930s Northern Heights scheme, and had it done so would perhaps still have been thriving in the early twenty-first century. |
