Title
English: North fork of Skykomish River, ca. 1898
Description
English: The North Fork of the Skykomish River starts high in the Cascade Mountains. Just west of the town of Index, Washington, it joins with the South Fork. West of Monroe, the Skykomish joins the Snoqualmie River, forming the Snohomish River which flows into Puget Sound at Everett.

Anders Wilse took this photo of the North Fork of the Skykomish River sometime between 1897 and 1900. It may have been taken at the same time as his photographs of Index and and nearby tunnel construction on the Great Northern Railway.
