| Description |
English: Northbridge Street Station, Robertsbridge, East Sussex This is the site of the disused Northbridge Street station. The sign optimistically awaits an opening date for the missing link of railway between Bodiam and Robertsbridge of the Rother Valley Railway. The line originally ran from Headcorn to Robertsbridge until it closed in the 1961 after the decline of the hop industry. It was reopened as a tourist railway in 1974. It currently runs 10.5 miles from Tenterden to Bodiam. More information can be found here http://www.kesr.org.uk/about_kesr/history.htm . |
