Description

c/n N.9003 Built 1966 Allocated US military serial 65-10594 for delivery purposes but served with the Royal Norwegian Air Force only as ‘594’. She was one of eight F-5Bs upgraded between 1991 and 1994 under the Program for Avionics and Weapon Systems (known as ‘TIGER-PAWS’), the aircraft having an avionics refit to replicate an F-16 cockpit. The final F-5 unit, 336 squadron, disbanded in June 2000 and ‘594’, wearing partial ‘Tiger’ livery, was delivered to Gardermoen for preservation. Since 2015 she has been the museums ‘Gate Guard’.
