English: Norton House, 9 Prince Street in Glen Williams, Ontario, Canada. Circa 1881
• In 1877 Charles Williams sold this lot to William Tost, local blacksmith, who only a few years later resold the land to Theophilus Norton. Norton was a school teacher who had come to Glen Williams to teach at the new brick schoolhouse located just up the hill. Theophilus built an impressive 2 story brick house where he and his family lived for many years. Anne Jane Norton (widow) finally sold the house to Margaret McKerrell in 1922. • Good example of a two-storey Gothic Revival home |
