Description
English: Non-conventional station sign along the Jamaica and points east-bound platform of the Nostrand Avenue Long Island Rail Road station in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York City. Despite the fact that this sign is more typical of New York City Subway stations and Staten Island Railway stations, this is for a Long Island Rail Road station. For some unexplained reason, the MTA has been adding Subway station signs to this station rather than LIRR signs, and the most recent upcoming restoration project will continue to use them. An earlier proposal for the project contains the more appropriate LIRR Helvetica signs.
