The Upper Clements Park Steam Engine was built in July 1905 by Montreal Locomotive Works.

First owned by the Canadian Northern Railway and numbered 213, renumbered as 1274 in 1920.

During amalgamation in 1923 the train became part of CNR and was placed in class H6G, keeping it's number as 1274.

The train was issued number 1521 in September of 1957 before being sold to Andrew MacLean in the year 1961.

In 1965 the train was moved to the Ontario Science Centre before changing hands again in 1969 when it was sold to a private owner in Michigan.

1989 saw the train moved to Upper Clements, Nova Scotia, to be displayed here at the park.
