Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Nyadran berasal dari tradisi Hindu-Budha. Sejak abad ke-15 para Walisongo menggabungkan tradisi tersebut dengan dakwahnya, agar agama Islam dapat dengan mudah diterima.Pada awalnya para wali berusaha meluruskan kepercayaan yang ada pada masyarakat Jawa saat itu tentang pemujaan roh yang dalam agama Islam dinilai musrik. Agar tidak berbenturan dengan tradisi Jawa saat itu, maka para wali tidak menghapuskan adat tersebut.Nyadran dipahami sebagai bentuk hubungan antara leluhur dengan sesama manusia dan dengan Tuhan.
