Description
English: Nyakasura Falls is located in Fort Portal next to Amabere Ga Nyinamwiru. The Mabere caverns have stalagmites and stalactites in shape of breasts the drip down milk like fluids which the locals refer to as milk.The attractive Nyakasura waterfall is next to the Mabere caves and originates from Rwenzori mountains, which have an ice top that melts and generates streams and rivers. These waterfalls are tremendous and can be heard from a far. They drain their water into the Semuliki River, which connects to the Albert nile. These waterfalls also provide a stable supply of water allowing stalagmites and stalactites to form in the caverns. Known for its natural beauty, Nyakasura Waterfall is surrounded by lush green vegetation and forested hillsides. The setting provides opportunities for photography, nature walks, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the waterfall.
