Tender-Lokomotiven mit drei gekuppelten Achsen. Ebenso wie bei den zweiachsig gekuppelten Lokomotiven wird auch bei den Maschinen mit drei gekuppelten Achsen das volle Gewicht als Adhäsionsgewicht ausgenutzt. Da sich aber der Raddruck hier auf 6 Räder statt auf 4 verteilt, so können die Lokomotiven dieser Kategorie bei gleichem Gewicht, also auch etwa gleicher Zugkraft, auf wesentlich leichteren Schienen verkehren, als zweiachsige Lokomotiven. Man wird diese Maschine mithin zweckmäßig überall da verwenden, wo entweder bei vorhandenem Gleis eine möglichst leistungsfähige Lokomotive benötigt wird, ohne daß der zulässige Raddruck über-schritten werden darf, oder wo der Oberbau verhältnismäßig leicht hergestellt werden soll. Namentlich bei längeren Strecken wird letzteres Moment der wesentlichen Ersparnis halber in Betracht kommen. Wir verfehlen nicht, darauf hinzuweisen, daß die Gleiskurven bei Verwendung dieser Lokomotive größer gewählt werden müssen, als bei den Maschinen der Tabellen I, II, V, VI. Die kleinsten Kurven-radien, welche noch zulässig sind, gehen aus den Tabellen hervor. Hierbei sei auch auf die verschiedenen Bauarten von mehrachsig gekuppelten, kur venb ew e g-1 ic h en Lokomotiven hingewiesen, welche wir in großer Anzahl geliefert haben. Näheres über die Verwendung dieser Lokomotiven ist aus der Abhandlung über „Wahl der Lokomotiven", sowie aus der Beschreibung Fol. 47 ersichtlich. Wir machen noch auf die am Schluß enthaltenen Abbildungen von Lokomotiven für Haupt-, Neben- und Kleinbahnen aufmerksam.English: Tender locomotives with three coupled axles. As with the two-axle coupled locomotives, the full weight of the machines with three coupled axles is used as adhesion weight. However, since the wheel pressure is distributed over six wheels instead of four, locomotives of this category can run on much lighter rails than two-axle locomotives with the same weight and therefore the same tractive force. This type of locomotive can therefore be used wherever the existing track requires the most powerful locomotive possible without exceeding the permissible wheel pressure, or where the superstructure is to be constructed relatively lightly. Particularly on longer lines, the latter will be considered for the sake of substantial savings. We do not fail to point out that the track curves must be larger when using this locomotive than with the machines in Tables I, II, V and VI. The smallest permissible curve radii are shown in the tables. We would also like to point out the various types of multi-axle coupled, curved locomotives which we have supplied in large numbers. More details on the use of these locomotives can be found in the article on "Choice of Locomotives" and in the description in Fol. 47. We would also like to draw your attention to the illustrations of locomotives for main, branch and small railways at the end. |
