editDescriptionO'Doherty Bros - geograph.org.uk - 51597.jpg |
English: O'Doherty Bros. This shop, located at Mountjoy, near Omagh closed in October 1993 after trading for over 100 years, but still retained its original features. Sticky flypaper still hung from the lights and it was never modernised. It was famous for its blended tea 879160 and "Strule Valley" flaked oatmeal. 879165 At one time a short railway siding was constructed at Mountjoy Halt to service the business. I took another picture of the shop in 2008 695941 |
