| Description |
English: Oaklands: Robbery Bottom Lane viaduct The Great Northern Railway had to go to phenomenal civil engineering lengths to build their main line north out of London across Hertfordshire. In this stretch the railway dives into tunnels under hills and spans valleys with viaducts on a regular basis. Although on a much smaller scale lengthwise to 1557515 which is about 2 kilometres away to the south, this viaduct over Robbery Bottom Lane is of a similar height and obviously built to the same elegant design. It dates from around 1850. |
