2017.09.01, Gdańsk - "Westerplatte to miejsce wyjątkowe dla każdego Polaka. To symbol niezłomności, bohaterstwa i patriotyzmu polskiego narodu. Jesteśmy tu dziś po to, by oddać hołd polskim żołnierzom. Czynimy tak od lat, by upamiętnić ich heroizm oraz uczcić pamięć ofiar tej największej w historii wojny. Cześć i chwała wszystkim polskim żołnierzom walczącym o wolność i niepodległość naszej ojczyzny" - mówiła dziś premier Beata Szydło podczas obchodów 78. rocznicy wybuchu II Wojny Światowej.
