English: Oileán Baoi (Dursey Island): Cable car This is the wonderfully rickety cable car that transports residents, cattle, supplies, and tourists (in that order of priority) between the mainland and Dursey Island over Dursey Sound. This view was taken from Dursey Island looking towards the mainland. The timetable is erratic to say the least... I think it was erected in 1960. |
