Summary

Description
English: 1860s engraving based on an 1817 drawing (see full watermarked image with caption at Coleraine Museum Archive). Although the caption says "Old Bridge at Colraine, erected in 1716, taken down 1843", this can not be so. 1716 bridge was damaged in 1732 and replaced by a new one (designed by William Etheridge, built circa 1750). See Dictionary of Irish Architects and Studies in the Gothic Revival.
