English: Old Fitzroy Street - DIY Hire & Supply One of many Victorian era buildings demolished to make way for the Grafton centre, this shop stood on the junction of James Street and Fitzroy Street. Even the junction doesn't exist now but it must have been near where the O2 shop now is, visible in 699253.
It had a particularly memorable closing down sale - every time a shelf was cleared they stuck a price-tag on the shelf and sold that! |
