Summary edit

Description
English: The "Old France" building at 258 Huntington Avenue, next to the Huntington Avenue Theatre of the Huntington Theatre Company, was built c.1916 as a United States Post Office branch. It was designed by Richard Thomas Short. It was later converted into the "Old France Restaurant", which was owned by the Childs Restaurant chain. It had a permit to hold 400 people, and by 1934 had outdoor seating. The restaurant closed in 1949. In 1951, the building was taken over by Junior Achievement, and the first floor was used for classrooms. The site, along with other nearby buildings, is slated for redevelopment.
