Description
English: This old hay rake is parked outside the Visitor Centre 1443620 in Consall Nature Park. Originally these machines were horse-drawn and pulled the hay into rows (or wind-rows). I remember seeing one of these in action, when I was a child growing up in Devon, although that one had been converted to be towable behind a tractor. A colloquial name for them, at least in Devon, was 'buck-rake'.
