English: Old Lock on the Nutbrook Canal For more information on the canal see Nutbrook_Canal. This short stretch still in water runs from inside the now deserted Stanton Ironworks site to the A6096 Ilkeston to Derby road, just east of Kirk Hallam.
It would appear that at time of closure the lock gates were replaced by a weir, with a circular sluice. |
