Old Settlers Cemetery This Plot acquired by the U.S. Government from the Potawatomi Indians through the Tippecanoe Treaty of 1832, is known to have been a burial ground prior to 1841 at which time it was shown as an exclusion in the abstract which deeded the adjoining land to a private individual.

Names of persons buried here were taken from remaining grave markers and from al local records which could be found.

Rehabilitated in 1976 as a Hobart Bicentennial Community Project.

Hobart American Revolution Bicentennial Commission and Hobart Township Trustees.
