Description
English: Old Wheel Farm ... from Loxley Road. Old Wheel Farm is named after Old Wheel Forge which was powered by a Water Wheel ... most of these Forges were destroyed in the Great Sheffield Flood of 1864, which wreaked havoc in the Loxley Valley. The Forge Dam is visible behind the farm. Further back, on the left are some of the derelict buildings which were part of Hepworth Refractories / Wraggs. To the right you can see the Terraced Houses at Storrs Bridge. 1016606 1015123
