| Description |
English: Old clay waste heap northwest of Preston Preston perches on the east bank of the River Teign. The footpath west out of the village affords this view upstream. The steep-sided, angular heap of clay waste known as Binney Tip lies to the south of Southacre Quarry SX8575 and appears in the background in many views.
According to the 2004 County Minerals Plan, Binney Tip could be removed in future to allow quarrying of the Type 1 light clays that lie beneath it. |
