| Description |
English: Old manhole cover, Omagh (1). This manhole is located at the paved area in front of the courthouse. The inscription reads, "J O'Neill & Co. OMAGH" I am informed that this builder may have been local and he got "OMAGH" inscribed on the lid. This may be unique as I haven't noticed any more of these about the town.
Was there once an iron foundry in Omagh? It would be exciting to find out. |
