Description
English: Old path. The Northern Corries of Cairngorm/Cairn Lochan are heavily used. The old unbuilt trods are now being replaced by new paths with adequate drainage. Foot pressure alone does not erode hills, it's the water on exposed earth that makes the mess. With drainage paths can take a lot of punishment, and the granite gravels make for good walking. Meanwhile the old paths are now returning to the heather. This one led up to Fiacaill a' Coire an t-Sneachda (the prominent ridge) and Coire an Lochain.
