Deutsch: Gebäude Altstadt Olten, Schweiz: Stadtrundgang Objekt 9: Die „Propstei“ wurde 1701 als Teil der „Chorherrenhäuser“ erbaut. 1746 zog hier das Gasthaus „zur Krone“ ein. Die Krone war von 1781 bis 1794 Versammlungsort der Helvetischen Gesellschaft. Später wurde neben dem Gasthaus eine eigene Bierbrauerei und die Kronenapotheke betrieben. 1922 wurde es zum Kaufhaus zur Krone und zum Restaurant Kronenstube (bis 1946). 1965 wurde daraus das Zentrum Spezialgeschäft des Consumvereins Olten CVO. |
